Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®

The Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Physiotherapy endorsed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy offers you a unique education experience. The programme has its foundation in the teaching of internationally renowned New Zealand physiotherapist Robin McKenzie, blended with the resources and established excellence in Postgraduate teaching of the University of Otago, School of Physiotherapy.

The structure of the Postgraduate Diploma course of study is a flexible one, which comprises papers delivered via distance-learning strategies followed by one semester (usually February-June) in residence at the School of Physiotherapy in Dunedin.

Students may choose not to take out the award and instead may complete a Master of Physiotherapy (endorsed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy) by completing a dissertation (major research project) of publishable standard. This would take an additional semester of full-time (or the equivalent part-time) study and may be conducted in Dunedin or elsewhere when an appropriate supervisor can be provided by the University of Otago staff and The McKenzie Institute International faculty.

Please consult with The McKenzie Institute International before formally enrolling in this programme. Fees shown for papers are not the full cost. Please contact The McKenzie Institute International for fees information.
